CAPTAIN: TOM BLACK

Australian, 54 years. Tom has been at sea on charter vessels for the past 41 years, in which time he has logged over 600,000 nautical miles of cruising, predominantly on the Australian east coast. Tom’s experience beyond Australian waters extends to SE Asia, Indonesia, New Zealand, the Middle East and North America. He first obtained his Masters certificate and Engineers certificate 30 years ago and has successfully navigated more than 200 vessels up to 60m in length. Tom has been the Captain of DE LISLE II since it was launched in 2001. He is a keen fisherman and hunter and loves to get out into the Australian outback. Tom attributes his years of successful chartering to always having an outstanding crew to work with.


FIRST MATE: ANTHONY ASTILL

Australian, 28 years. Anthony has been with DE LISLE II for the past 3 years. Having recently obtained his STCW certificate, he is well on the way to his Engineering and Masters certificate. Anthony has spent most of his life around boats and is a qualified marine mechanic. He is passionate about his fishing and enjoys all adventurous water-based activities, including scuba diving for which he is PADI certified.


CHEF: LINDA LOURENSZ

Australian, 47 years. Linda has been working aboard luxury yachts throughout the Mediterranean, Caribbean, North America, Asia and Australia for the past 15 years. Having many successful international seasons under her belt on such yachts as MIRABELLA, MARIDOME, IVANA and VALIA… back home in Australia, Linda has worked aboard LAURA J and she has also been part of the DE LISLE II crew for the past 5 years. Specializing in both Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, Linda always presents the best possible local produce in her own healthy, summer style. Linda is an athletic type who loves hiking and the outdoors lifestyle in general.

Australian, 32 years. Lisa has been plying her talents for many years throughout Australia and the Mediterranean. She is dedicated to providing our charter guests with the most remarkable holiday she possibly can. Nothing is beyond Lisa’s imagination and with a tireless attention to detail she excels in her role on board. She has proved to be a great asset to DE LISLE II over the past 3 years and our regular guests are always pleased to see her happy, smiling face.
